The peach colour caught from a sunrise over the sea. A delicate and warm colour. It evokes the tropics and it combines extraordinarily well with warmth and earth tones colours. Peach is the delicacy of orange and pink, when the purples vanish from the rising of the sun, but everything is still waiting. Flaming June by Lord Leighton is a soft, relaxed colour, full of dreamy tranquility. Iconic. This colour peach can be found only before dawn wakes up.
The woman resting on a perfectly reproduced marble is wrapped in a very light garment and reproduced with an almost Michelangelo touch. The dawn behind her radiates the whole scene with pink and orange reflections. We will never know anything about the protagonist, but we will dream of the magical atmosphere of this color. Flaming June is exhibited at the Museo de Arte de Ponce in Puerto Rico.
This peach requires an excellent base, perfectly bleached. It is a delicate tone that does not tolerate residual undertones. Although it is heavy loaded with vegan pigments, if you want the true essence of this color, you will have to do a great bleaching and apply from tone 9 and more. Leave on up to 40 minutes and then rinse well, using warm water with high pressure. Do not shampoo. Do not wash in the first 48 hours. The gourmand fragrance based on summer fruits and white flowers will transform your hair in a juicy bouquet.
The sunniest color, delicate but not ephemeral. Not to underestimate. It creates a reflection that evokes exotic travels, sunrise beaches and delicious cocktails.
Flaming June is a painting with a double life. Painted in the Victorian era, it was not successful until many years later. It has traveled the world between junk shops and small, unsuccessful auctions. Not even Andy Webber Lloyd could buy it because his mother didn't want to lend him the 50 pounds required for the purchase in the 1960s. It was bought by the curator of Puerto Rico's De Ponce Museum for less than $ 1000 and from that point on it acquired the fame it has now.
